2. Quality: pick the mode named in the "condition" column of results.csv (default: Smart).
Format > Output: Auto (Format Race) for the "-auto" conditions, "Keep each file's format" for "-same",
or WebP / AVIF / JPEG for the others.
3. Add the files from inputs/ and compare the sizes with results.csv.
Small differences are possible if the app has been updated since 2026-10-10.

WHERE THE IMAGES COME FROM
- astronaut.jpg, astronaut.tiff, astronaut.heic: Portrait of astronaut Eileen Collins. Source: NASA Great Images collection, via the scikit-image sample images. Licence: Public domain (NASA). We converted the original to JPEG (quality 95), TIFF and HEIC (quality 85).
- chelsea.jpg, chelsea.bmp: Chelsea the cat. Source: Photo by Stefan van der Walt, via the scikit-image sample images. Licence: CC0 (no rights reserved). We saved the original as JPEG (quality 92) and BMP.
- coffee.jpg, coffee.webp: A cup of coffee. Source: Photo by Rachel Michetti, courtesy of Pikolo Espresso Bar, via the scikit-image sample images. Licence: CC0 (no rights reserved). We saved the original as JPEG (quality 95) and WebP (quality 92).
- rocket.png: A Falcon 9 rocket launching. Source: Photo by SpaceX, via the scikit-image sample images. Licence: Released into the public domain by SpaceX. We saved the original as a PNG. It is a photograph, which is a common mistake worth measuring.

- ui-screenshot.png, logo-alpha.png, badge.svg: A screenshot-style interface, a logo with a transparent background, and an SVG as a drawing program exports it. Source: Created by Nevquo for these tests. Licence: Ours; provided so that anyone can repeat the benchmark. Drawn with a script, so they are cleaner than most real screenshots and logos.
